Cookie policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Big Bear Electric Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at bigbearelectric.ca (the “Site”).

Effective date: October 7, 2026

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites operate efficiently, to keep them secure, and to provide reporting information to site operators.

References to “cookies” in this policy include similar technologies, such as local storage, that perform comparable functions.

2. How we use cookies

We use cookies to:

  • Protect the Site and the estimate request form from automated abuse.
  • Record the cookie preferences you select.
  • Measure how the Site is used and improve its content and performance.

We do not use cookies for advertising.

3. Types of cookies we use

Necessary cookies are required for the Site to operate and cannot be declined while continuing to use the Site.

Delivers and secures the Site, and runs the Turnstile check on the estimate request form.

SM

4. Session recordings & heatmaps

Where analytics cookies have been accepted, Microsoft Clarity records a replay of your visit: the pages viewed, scrolling, pointer movement, clicks and taps. That activity is aggregated into heatmaps.

Clarity operates in its default masking mode, which excludes text entered into form fields. We do not use recordings to identify individuals or to link them to information submitted through forms on the Site. Recordings are processed by Microsoft Corporation under the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

5. What we do not do

  • We do not use cookies for advertising or retargeting.
  • We do not sell or share cookie data with third parties for commercial purposes.
  • We do not track your activity across other websites.
  • We do not build profiles of individuals or use cookie data to determine pricing.

6. Managing cookies

On your first visit you are asked whether to accept analytics cookies. None are set before consent is given, and clearing the Site’s cookies will present the request again.

Most browsers can refuse cookies, delete those already stored, or warn before one is set, usually under Settings, then Privacy. Disabling necessary cookies may prevent the estimate request form from functioning.

Google provides a Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on. Microsoft’s controls are described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

7. Changes to this cookie policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with an updated effective date, and where a change materially alters the information collected, consent is requested again.
